The “El Placer” Farms Project begins with Sebastián Ramírez who is a 4th Generation Coffee Producer at the top of his game producing complex, desirable and delicious coffees.

El Placer means "The Pleasure" in English, and the farm is located in the heart of El Eje Cafetero (the coffee zone) in Calarcá, Quindío at an elevation of 1744 masl.

Gesha White Honey / Semi Washed

This highly sought after varietal is widely known for it's unique flavour profile of floral and sweet notes. These hand picked and selected cherries are placed in sealed tanks where they go through a carbonic maceration for 48 hours. After this, the cherries are pulped and slightly washed, leaving some mucilage on the parchment.

The parchment coffee is then laid on the ground inside ‘eldas’ where they dry under the sun and get covered at night. The dying process is controlled so the coffee dries slowly until it reaches 9 to 11% humidity.

We are tasting lots of florals, honeysuckle, earl grey with a tropical fruit finish.
